Video: Nigeria! Passing The Buck & 'Enemy' From Within
A collection of perspectives from Ahmadu Bello. Ladoke Akintola. Odumegwu Ojukwu. Mr ‘OkoroMan” of Voice of Biafra. Pastor David Oyedepo and Patrick Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu on Nigeria’s fragile foundation.
I don't know what you are insinuating by the statement that Pastor Oyedepo is suggesting Nigeria divide, but I'm quite sure I didn't hear him mention Nigeria (not like I'm against the idea!).
It's so obvious and sad that the North (westerners too) has(have) a natural dislike for the progressive and ambitious nature of the Igbos. I wish we had surprised (like Ojukwu hoped)the North during the civil war. Things would have been so different.
I believe what Awolowo said is true as reported Mr Okoroman, sorry to generalise but the yorubas.......
Come sun or rain the Igbos will still dominate because it's our nature. (On a lighter note)The only thing that can cushion the effect of the Igbos dominating later(of which we will) is inter-tribal marriage.
The video is very good, Mr Kayode. It points out the fact that the demagogues masqurading as leaders have always used the fear of domination against their various imagined groups to seek and retain power. And the emotional attachement of most of us to religion and ethnicity make us to surrender our country to demagogues. But when the chips are down, all the regional/ethnic and religious champions across the country will revert to the basic means of identity in Nigeria: township identity. Then an Ijebu man will say he is Ijebu first before being a Yoruba,an Mbaise will say he is Mbaise before being an Igbo and Bakastine will say he is a Katsina person before being a Hausa. That is the danger of politics of emotion. I hope one day the people of this country will realise their power and say no to demagogues.
